Alumni of UCLA Microbiology & Molecular Genetics and UCSD Bioengineering, Clinton and Lisa Yee combined their 4 decades of expertise to establish KOAPRO. Their personal challenges with muscle pain led to profound understanding of its debilitating effect and ignited a determination to bring to life solutions that would enhance muscular health and performance globally.

A distinct influence in KOAPRO's formation traces back to Lisa's father, a competitive bodybuilder of Chinese heritage born and raised in South Vietnam. Alongside his military service during the Vietnam War, he immersed himself in the study and practice of ancient Chinese acupressure over 40 years. Renowned for mitigating pain issues that Western medicine couldn't, he imparted knowledge to Lisa about soft tissue manipulation and decompression of trigger points, thereby instilling in her a holistic understanding of pain relief.

After surviving a severe car accident, Clinton faced an enduring period of constant discomfort. Later, Lisa confronted her own health hurdle when diagnosed with scoliosis. Their navigation through personal health adversities underscored the critical need for enhanced solutions.

Adversity did not dampen their spirit; instead, it became a catalyst for innovation. Driven by their unique experiences and dissatisfaction with the options available, they marshaled their knowledge of bioengineering and biosciences. At KOAPRO, we don't just build products; we engineer wellness solutions born out of real experiences and enriched by diverse cultural wisdom.
